DDR 333: Study Before Use
DDR 333 is a speed and form factor specification which most people require while upgrading the computer memory. This comes under the Generic upgrades which are made without stare to the particular requirements of the computer they are being installed in. Generic upgrades are more often than not cheaper and supplied by 1000’s of resellers worldwide.
Computer memory known as RAM is the place in the computer where the operating system stores information about applications and data in current use so that they can be rapidly reached by the computers processor but it requires upgrading regularly.
Once you have made the alternative to upgrade the memory you have only to decide if you are going to do it yourself or have it done by anyone else making the decision much easier for you. If you want to do this by yourself better to know all the detail before upgrading the memory.
Double Data Rate is very similar to traditional SDRAM except it transfers data twice during each clock cycle doubling the transfer rate of the memory while the system bus stays the same. DDR comes in many speeds and each with two designations. It is better to know before buying that on the box or somewhere in the specifications, the memory will be referred to as DDR-xxx, where the xxx is replaced by the effective clock speed of the memory like 333. So DDR 333 means which provides an effective clock speed of about 333 MHz.
